Closest Town: Denver, Colorado
Operating Hours: Open year round. The park closes at dusk (though some of us continue to ride it into the night be aware you may be ticketed).
Facilities Onsite: Restroom at the trailhead, picnic benches, covered benches.
Trail Type: Singletrack
Park Owner: Jefferson County Open Space
Trail Map: JeffCo Official Map
Driving Directions: Take C-470 to the south Kipling exit. Go south to the first stop sign, make a right. This will turn into Deer Creek Canyon Road. Follow the road past the Lockheed-Martin plant to Grizzly Drive (there will be a small brown sign on the right side of the road pointing the way). Turn left up a couple of switchbacks 1/4 mile then a very quick right (don't be going too fast or you will pass it).
Favorite Path: Both loops. Start up the main mountain biking trail to the left of the restrooms, make the right onto Red Mesa Loop after 1.9 miles, ride the loop. Coming back to the Plymouth Creek Trail continue back up the hill, along the Plymount Mountain trail, then one very fast downhill.
Area Details: The area has a mix of hiker-only and multi-use trails, so be paying attention for foot traffic. This is an excellent bike area, with a lung-buster of a climb for the first couple of miles (which means screaming downhills on the way back to the car).
