Operating Hours: Open year round. The park closes at dusk (though some of us continue to ride it into the night be aware you may be ticketed).
Facilities Onsite: Restroom, hand-pump water, and picnic tables at the trailhead.

Driving Directions: Take I-70 west to C-470. South to the Morrison exit, then west to the stoplight for Highway 8 (just outside of Red Rocks Park).
Turn left (South) onto Highway 8 to Forest Ave (it's right outside of town, with a fairly small street sign, be watching for the "Mount Falcon" signs on the right.) Turn right onto Forest, then take the next right onto Vine, the lower parking lot is at the end of Vine.
The upper parking lot involves a drive up Highway 285 to Parmalee Gulch Road and is best for family hikes.
Favorite Path: Climb the hill to begin with, almost two miles of climbing. When you get to the top you are rewarded with a great view of Denver from the hut. Continue up the hill along a main road to the upper parking lot, turn left onto the Parmilee Gulch Trail which descends then climbs again and meets back up with the main trail systems. Then a nice fast descent.
Area Details: Couple of miles of steadily climbing hill to begin with (get that heart rate up!), then an extremely fast ride along the Parmalee Gulch trail. Be watching for hikers and small children (the upper trails seem to be a favorite with families).
